Are you a fun and energetic person who is interested in gaining experience in the camping industry? Camp Kanata’s Non-Profit Management Training Program develops professional, well-trained leaders within the YMCA of the Triangle with a primary responsibility of representing Camp to our greater Camp community.
The goal for the program is for trainees to support the vision of Camp Kanata, gain a solid understanding of Camp that could feed into non-profit professional careers, including the YMCA, while enhancing their personal leadership and management skills.
It combines real-life elements of work through leading groups. Management Trainees serve as assistant facilitators for weekend groups, participate in a variety of projects, conferences and meetings at Camp and gain experience supervising and managing seasonal staff members. Previous Management Trainees have gone on to full-time positions within the YMCA of the Triangle and at other associations. If you are passionate about the Y’s mission and want to gain experience at Camp and beyond, this could be the position for you!
Housing is provided on Camp for this position and meals will be provided when groups are on site.
