We had a great opening day! Our staff welcomed the last session of campers today with lots of energy and smiles. For dinner we had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and green beans on the side. Our Evening Program was an Opening Campfire. We watched silly skits and sang songs to get ready for the upcoming week of fun and friendships. We can’t wait for tomorrow!
What a fantastic Monday we had at Camp! For breakfast we had bagels, scrambled eggs, and canadian bacon. Lunch was philly cheesesteaks and potato wedges. This afternoon our campers had a blast swimming and trying out the attractions at the lake and the pool. For dinner we had baked chicken, hawaiin rolls, and green beans. Our Evening Program was a kickback with a giant slip and slide, field games, dodgeball, and music. We made so many memories today and can’t wait to make even more tomorrow!
We had another great day here at Kanata! Breakfast was cinnamon rolls and sausage patties. Lunch was chicken and waffles with french fries. This afternoon we had a little bit of liquid sunshine which allowed us to have extra Cabintime and get to know our new cabin mates even better indoors. For dinner we roasted hot dogs and s’mores for our weekly Unit Night. Each Unit did their own unique and fun activity together after dinner and had a blast! We are so excited to see what else this week has in store for us.
If we had to describe today in one word it would be: awesome! We started our morning with sausage and egg biscuits. Campers headed to their activities with smiles on their faces ready for a great day. Lots of kids are completing challenges to achieve ranks in their activities. For lunch we had a variety of finger foods like grapes, empanadas, mac and cheese triangles, and pretzels. For our Evening Program, the entire camp came together in the gym to watch a movie. We are so thankful for such a wonderful day and we can’t wait for tomorrow!
Today was a super duper great day! For breakfast we had pancakes and sausage. Lunch was chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries. We had a fantastic time swimming this afternoon and trying out all that the lake and pool have to offer. For dinner we ate tacos and churros. The Evening Program tonight was our weekly dance. Everyone had a great time dressing up and dancing the night away. The Lower Lake Knights broke the 4-4 tie for the summer long dance off to win for CK19. We can’t wait for the last day of camp tomorrow, we know it’s going to be awesome!
We had an incredible last day of camp today! Breakfast was apple fritters and cantaloupe. For lunch we had corn dogs and mac and cheese triangles. Many of our campers completed challenging ranks this week in their activities and we are so proud of them. For dinner we had meatball subs. Our last Closing Campfire of the summer was truly a memorable one and we are endlessly thankful for each camper, trainee, and staff member who was able to share in the friendships and camp magic for CK19. Until next time, be well and do good.
