Today was a great day! We started out our morning with yummy cinnamon rolls and sausage links. Campers headed to their activities with their water bottles in hand and “fast-go-get-ems” (sneakers) on their feet. We spent a lot of time at the lake today, making sure to try out all of the attractions it has to offer. For lunch we had chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. Tuesdays are Unit Nights at Camp Kanata and each Unit got together to roast hot dogs, s’mores and do a fun Unit-wide activity and devotion. We can’t wait for another awesome day tomorrow!

In the afternoon we had the first annual Fourth of July Parade right in the middle of Camp! Campers got to help make signs and decorate camp vehicles for the special event. For dinner we had a baked potato bar with assorted toppings. For our Evening Program we had a Talent Show. Campers had a great time performing their many talents and showcasing their skills. Everyone enjoyed fresh watermelon during the game and cheered on their fellow campers. After a dinner of meatball subs, we headed down to the amphitheater for our Closing Campfire. We watched creative skits, sang songs, and said goodnight to our friends after more fireworks to end our last night together. We are thrilled to have spent this time as a Kanata family and will remember the memories we made this week forever.
