YMCA Camp Kanata is located on 150 acres in central North Carolina, about an hour north of Raleigh, N.C.
Camp Kanata is a traditional, coed, overnight summer camp for kids ages 6 – 15. We offer traditional overnight camp activities, such as archery, hiking, swimming and creative arts, and water activities on our 15 acre lake.
On the lake, campers can canoe and kayak or go feet-first down our 75-foot double waterslide.
We believe in nurturing the potential of every child to develop into confident, competent leaders and their best selves. Our 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio ensures a safe environment and staff who know your child personally.
Camp Kanata campers hail from North and South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and beyond.
Camp Kanata offers traditional overnight camp in one-week sessions, a traditional summer day camp in one-week sessions, and several overnight weekend camps throughout the fall and spring. We are an affordable, flexible camp and financial assistance is available thanks to our Annual Campaign.
YMCA Camp Kanata is owned and operated by the YMCA of the Triangle, and as such, we are a cause-driven organization. Our Mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We are 501c-3 charity.
