How long have you worked at Camp?
I’ve been working at camp since March 2023! Just about 7 months.
Were you a camper and/or counselor before?
I wasn’t a counselor and I also didn’t grow up at camp! I always wanted to go to YMCA camp growing up but I never got the opportunity.
What is your Favorite Camp Memory?
My favorite camp memory has to be the closing campfire. Every time it feels like the warmest atmosphere that you’ve ever been a part of. Bittersweet goodbyes combined with belly laughs is a pretty good formula for a perfect night
Where were you born?
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but I grew up in Cary/Raleigh most of my life.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I grew up I really wanted to be a firefighter, but that changed to a lawyer for some reason, then I had no idea, but now I’m very certain that I want to work with children in a health setting!
What is the most important thing you've learned in life?
The most important thing that I’ve learned is that to invest in relationships and others. Whether that’s kindness, generosity, service, listening, whatever it is, uphold relationships with others. There aren't many joys out there like the joy you get from being in the presence of happiness.
What is your favorite thing/hobby and why?
My favorite hobby would either be anything active like playing sports with people, going on runs, etc., or the complete opposite and sitting and watching a movie with other people!
