Set on 150 rolling, wooded acres outside of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Camp Kanata offers traditional overnight camp in one-week sessions, summer day camp in one-week sessions, and several overnight weekend camps throughout the fall and spring for kids ages 6 to 15.
We allow campers to be themselves, to build self-esteem and to create memories that last a lifetime. We believe in nurturing the potential of every child so they may develop into confident, competent leaders and their best selves. Our 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio ensures a safe environment and staff who know your child personally.
Every day, campers enjoy fun activities such as archery, swimming, canoeing, creative arts and games. Trained, well-qualified staff lead activities and focus on skill and character development.
We are an affordable, flexible overnight and day camp, and financial assistance is available thanks to our Annual Campaign.
YMCA Camp Kanata is owned and operated by the YMCA of the Triangle, and as such, we are a non-profit, cause-driven organization. Our Mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We are 501c-3 charity.
